The Ohio Department of Environmental Protection (OEPA) recently completed an environmental assessment process for AOA’s Scioto River Preserve conservation project. The 285 acre Schneider tract will be acquired by AOA with Water Resource Restoration Sponsor Program monies administered by OEPA. This property consists of a variety of high quality natural resources including nearly 100 acres of wetlands, 1.8 miles of Scioto River riparian corridor, and an oxbow pond. AOA plans to conserve and restore the biological diversity of the site which will become part of our Scioto River Flyway Corridor Initiative. A complete copy of the environmental assessment may be found here.
