Explore nature at AOA’s Conservation Demonstration Site in Rockbridge. OSU Extension Wildlife Program Specialist Marne Titchenell will lead a stroll through the diverse woodland, wetland and prairie habitats. Marne is an environmental education specialist with a passion for nature. She provides a variety of educational programs, workshops, conferences, and publications centered on wildlife ecology and biology, habitat management for wildlife, and managing nuisance wildlife species.
Marne will be on the lookout for birds and signs of other wildlife using the Demonstration Site. Bring binoculars. Marne will bring some binoculars to share but may not have enough for everyone. She will discuss woodland wildlife habitat needs while wandering over the property. Enjoy the many sandstone formations characteristic of the Hocking Hills.
Wear walking shoes suitable for the Hocking Hills topography. This event will be held rain or shine – so please come prepared and dress appropriately for the weather. Please bring your own drinks and bug repellant or sunscreen. AOA events are free and open to the public.
