Join us as we work to restore the native prairies on AOA’s Bartley Preserve. Acquired in 2013, this former agriculture field boasts five rare plant species, as well as a historically significant Native American Earthworks mound, which we are proud to protect. We will be planting 650 starter ‘plugs’ in designated areas on the preserve in order to foster native wildflower and forb growth. These efforts are vital in maintaining a robust pollinator habitat throughout central and southern Ohio. Your help will go a long way in promoting a vibrant prairie ecosystem for years to come.

Time: Meet at 10:00 a.m. or come when you can
What to Bring: Work gloves, snacks, lunch and/or drinks of your choice.
Location: Bartley Preserve is located just southeast of Circleville, on Hitler Rd. 1. We will park along the road in front of our neighbor Rich Elsea’s home, and work in the prairie just south of the house. The Google street address is 1711 Hitler Rd. 1, Circleville, OH 43113. Look for AOA signs and cones.
