June 30, 2022 @ 10:00 am

Help us keep the invasive species at bay while enjoying a beautiful spring day in the woods, surrounded by a plethora of beautiful wildflowers and old growth forest. We will be working at Mercer Woods Old Growth Forest which is part of AOA’s Hocking River Conservation Corridor Initiative. We will focus on hand-pulling garlic mustard, an invasive plant species that threatens the wildflowers and rich forest understory.

Time: Meet at 10:00 a.m. or come when you can
What to Bring: Work gloves, snacks, lunch and/or drinks of your choice.
Location: Mercer Woods is located at 9016 Buckeye Troxel Road, just southeast of Sugar Grove – follow link below. Park by barn. Look for signs and maps and follow directions and/or ribbons into the woods where we will be working. Please do not go up the driveway or to the Mercer house which is rented.
